Congratulations Merve Yesilbas!

Merve nailed her Ph.D. Thesis “Thin Water and Films on Minerals: A Molecular Level Study” on March 23rd.

She will defend her thesis on April 13th at Umeå University (info here).

Wei is a visiting Ph.D student from Khalil Hanna‘s group (Rennes).
During her 6-month stay, she will be studying water vapour binding on
organically-coated minerals with JF Boily.

The Molecular geochemistry Laboratory

The Molecular Geochemistry Laboratory is a multidisciplinary group looking at connecting the very small -- atoms -- with the very large -- rocks and minerals.

The group is housed in the Department of Chemistry at Umeå University, and is led by six PIs: Erik Björn, Jean-François Boily, Michael Holmboe, C. A. Ohlin, Andrey Shchukarev, and Staffan Sjöberg.

The Molecular Geochemistry Laboratory is found on the sixth floor of the Chemical Institution, Linnaeus väg 10, Umeå University, Umeå.
